Seven months and I'll have my diploma...that much sought after document proving that I've spent the time and effort pursuing certain areas of knowledge. After that, I'll be free to do whatever, go wherever, and find out how hard that 'real world' people older than I are always talking about really is. Will I immediately pursue a masters in directing or acting? Will I wait awhile to do that? Will I ever? Do I stay here, go back to Kansas City, or find someplace else to live? These are some of the questions that have been swirling around my head for the last few months...

...and at the moment, I'm indifferent about the answers.

What do I have going for me? The Mousetrap, improv, and work.

What's not going in my favor at all? Everything else.

For the most part, I'm just going through the motions for my classes. Do the assignments, get good grades, move on to the next thing. Not even photography, the class I was most excited for, is that great. My social life is pretty much in the hole, too. Occasionally I'll get to hang out with friends, but I have so few good friends here that I ever like to hang out with. To top it off, our schedules rarely match up, so when we do want to hang out, either they or myself are not able to do anything for one reason or another. Relationship-wise, I'm single again...but that's all I'll say about that in a public forum.

I was hoping to escape to Kansas City for the three day weekend my college is giving me in two weeks, but I barely have the money to eat, much less travel to KC and miss two days of work. I really need some time back in KC, but I just don't have a chance until Thanksgiving Break. Even then, I'll probably have to borrow money from the parents to afford the trip there. I want to get away from here for awhile, get my head straight. I could totally use a week of having nothing to do but be young, free, and stupid while I can still afford to be.

Long story short, I'm going stir-crazy here and I need an outlet.
